Aquila started as a way for me to download various torrents without actually visit those pop up sites. It has a very simple interface but underneath it lies about thousand lines of code, with multi thread support for efficient GUI response and more.

Rather than from a single server, files are transferred in bits, originating from a server (seed) and shared via a p2p network of other .torrent clients (peers) allowing for high-speed downloads.
