Every year Hollywood has a big effect on the popularity of Halloween costumes and this year is no different. Whether it's a movie based in comedy, action, drama, mystery or sci-fi there is always a character or characters that seem to reach out to moviegoers just begging to be portrayed in costume during the Halloween season.
This year there were a lot of action/adventure superheroes to pick from. The most popular by far would be The Dark Knight which was released on July 18th bringing with it two very distinguished characters; Batman and The Joker. Not only will we see a lot of Batman and Joker costumes this Halloween, but the superhero Batman has been a staple of every little boy's Halloween costume for many, many years. Some other superhero action movies released this year that will have costumes flying off the shelves in stores are The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Hellboy II, Indiana Jones and Hancock.
